Kaveen may be the most impressive person I've met all around. I have asked him on many occasions what year he is in, assuming 4th year at least but then hearing first year. The reasons I am so impressed are that he not only is incredibly knowledgeable about software development and computer engineering but he has also has phenomenal interpersonal and networking skills. In my experience, I have seen him effectively get beginner programmers (such as at StarterHacks) get on the right track by leading them towards asking the right questions and coming to the solution which is an incredibly important, rare leadership skill as opposed to wanting to take the driver-seat and solve the problem yourself. It takes a deep understanding and patience. As well, at every event we've worked together I always see participants come in waves to connect with him on LinkedIn. He keeps up high quality relationships with those around him and always stays in touch no matter how busy he may be with the UW workload. All of these qualities make me confident that he will be (if not already) a phenomenal leader wherever he goes.

As a lead organizer for StarterHacks, I have the opportunity to meet thousands of bright students.
